CAPS Events!

Our CAPS Student Advisory Board is looking for new members to work with the board and CAPS staff for next year. Students can apply here - CAPSAB 2018-19 board, before April 15,2018

CAPSAB Members:

  • Act as a student liaison between CAPS administrators and students
  • Plan and execute small and large mental health-related events (Mental Wellness Week!) throughout the year
  • Act as an open-minded community for ourselves and others
  • Undergo training, mentored by CAPS staff, to become CAPS student ambassadors. As student ambassadors, CAPSAB members will be disseminating information about individual and group programs at CAPS amongst their peers and student groups on campus.
  • Collect feedback about CAPS from the Penn student community.
  • Promote CAPS and CAPSAB initiative on social media websites.

 

Dog Therapy and Stress Management Tricks & Tips- April 24th 5-6:30pm at CAPS (3624 Market Street, First Floor West)

Ever teach a dog a new trick? It takes time, practice, and many treats to get it right before the big performance. Human beings also need to practice tricks (coping skills) to prepare for big events. To help prepare for finals season, come get stress management tips and support from therapy dog, Oso! Snacks will be provided.

 

International Student Play Day- May 1st, 12-2pm at the Perry World House

Calling all international students to take a study break. Join CAPS for some fun and self-care. We will have stations with fun activities (e.g., play doh, yo-yo, jianzi, bean bag tossing, jenga, twister, mindfulness card game, coloring book, tea tasting) that help you relax, unwind, de-stress, and recharge. Join us and bring your friends. Food and soft beverage will be provided.
