From your Riepe College House Staff:

Dear Riepe residents!

I’m hoping this note finds you all comfortably situated by now, and that you, and your families and friends, remain healthy.

Everything has happened so quickly and unexpectedly since spring break! All the senior staff, along with your RA’s and GA’s, just wanted to let you know how sad we are that we won’t be able to finish out the year with you, and especially sad that we had no opportunity to say a proper goodbye to all of you before you headed out for what was only supposed to be our spring break.

For our part, we will have so many warm memories of all we did get to do together this year—the many house-wide dinners hosted by the amazing Dean Diggs, the Planet Sundaes with Sebastian and Adriann, the Italian tables with Amy and Vincenzo, the Sunday open houses in our apartment, our Dinners for 10 series, the movie nights, study breaks with Amy, and the countless less formal events hosted by your RA’s and GA’s! We’re just so sorry that we can’t continue all these events with you to finish out the year!

The faculty in the meantime have been working hard over the past 10 days to figure out the best ways to deliver their classes online. It will be a bit of a challenge for students and faculty alike, but I hope things go smoothly for all of you.

I know you have been inundated with official information from Penn, but at the bottom of this note I’ll append some links in case it’s useful to see them again here.

Finally, I wanted to let all of you know that if any of you would like to come to our Sunday open houses next year (assuming all systems normal by then!), you are most welcome. Email me if you’d like to come and we’ll keep a record of your email address. Or write in the fall when we’re all back.

For now, we leave with our warmest wishes for your health and safety, and look forward to reconnecting with you next fall. … keep up that handwashing and social distancing!
