Biography
Jo Wapner was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on June 3, 1981. She was soon brought home to Chatham, NY (a town with one stop light) to live with her parents John and Cindy (both psychologists). Her brother Gabe came into her family on February 14, 1985. Jo lived in the same 1850s farm house until 1999 when she left to attend Haverford College where Jo received a BA in psychology in 2003. She then came to Penn to work in a neuropsychology lab and to begin the post bacculaurate program. This past summer Jo began the BSN/MSN accelerated nursing program. Jo is a runner at heart, running her first marathon this summer in Ottawa, Canada. Jo also finds baking to be a stress relief so if you are ever looking for a warm, homemade cookie, she is your girl!
